Sweetpeas














Tissue-veined, with
Tendrils outreaching, a
Delicate honeyed scent.

Ombreing shades of
The color of blood.

Fluted foldings shyly,
Simply beautiful in being.

Oh I'm so happy that you started posting here.

Sweet peas are the most incredible annuals. I use to plant them each spring close to the door so I could watch those little tendrils reaching out. Sooo tender.

A lovely poem. Sweetpea? That's my nickname for my cat zoe. When I read this I went right over and gave her some nice scratches in her favorite spot just under her chin.
